About Me: I am a person that has my priorities right...God, family and country. I've lived in Oklahoma all of my life. I have visited may places and am always glad to get back to Oklahoma. The pace of life here is just right! Not too slow and not too fast. At the present time I work from home. My husband is the most wonderful man in the world. My son is the best. The reason I can say this is because I have put God first in my life and then everything falls into place with out question.
Music: I very much dislike rap. My favorite is country. I was raised on all sorts of music and have a great appreciation for all except for rap. When I was a teenager I wasn't going to listen to "that old country stuff".
Movies: I like the classics like Gone With the Wind. Anything with Shirley Temple is great. I prefer comedys. I greatly dislike horror flics.

    Rain

    Friday, March 30, 2007, 10:44 PM [General]

I do a lot of looking out the window by my desk. As I sit here and look out I see rain, lots of rain! Along with everyone else I think how much more rain can there be. I have to remember that now is the time to be thankful for the rain. In a few months we all will be praying for rain in the hot days of summer. As I ponder this, it makes me actually be thankful for all of that wonderful wet stuff. Yes, when I'm out in it I run as fast as I can so I don't get too wet. Fortunately I won't melt even though I think I should sometimes. I remember when I was a child how I loved to play in the rain. Maybe that is just what I should do, take the time to play in the rain. I won't melt. God will see to that. As the rain cleanses the earth whenever I have stood in the rain it almost as if my soul was being cleansed also. How refreshing and to have such a sense of peace. "Rain" that is how I spell relief!

    The Weather

    Saturday, January 13, 2007, 10:44 PM [General]

I sit here off and on all day looking out the window by my desk at all of the cold outside. I keep thinking how cold it is out. I see all of the frozen white stuff out there and think about how much more sleet and freezing rain we are suppose to be getting. I shudder to think about going out and cleaning off my car. Then I think that if I had to go anywhere how dangerous it would be. I've driven in this stuff before when it has been this bad or even worse. I stop to think what I have to loose. In the past I didn't have a wonderful husband and son. I also stop to think how benificial this is to the land. I acutally love cold weather. I always joke about how I can always put on more to stay warm and can't take enough off to stay cool in warm weather. (Thank you for that festive visual) In the end this is actually good for everyone and everything. Mother Nature (and God) know what they are doing. Just think freezing weather decreases bugs and weeds and not to think about the diseases and illness it can help to get rid of. Actually as I think of it, what a wonderfully glorious day God has given us!

    Post Christmas thoughts

    Wednesday, December 27, 2006, 08:52 AM [General]

Here I am sitting thiking about Christmas Day. I remember that morning first thinking oh no, is it already time to get up when my son came in at 8am to get my husband and myself up. All I could think about at that time was I've only had four hours of sleep! I had church services at llpm and the last miniute presents to wrap before bed. As Chiristmas day went on I kept thinking about how nice a nap would be, but had things like presents and dinner to get done. We enjoyed watching Matthew open gifts. A nap sure would be nice.  Thankfully my hubby did the turkey and potatoes! How nice a nap would be! I finished cooking the remainder of the meal while the turkey rested. We ate a wonderful dinner! Turkey and triptaphan, how nice a nap would be! I got the kitchen cleaned up slowly cause I od'd on turkey. How nice it was to snuggle on the couch with my hubby watching a movie and having a final glass of wine. After the movie finally all I could think of was bed at last. Now that I think back there was one thing that I fill I truely missed on Christmas Day. I wasn't a lack of sleep. It was that fact that I didn't consciously take a few minutes and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus  Christ. This was reminded of me yesterday when I heard that my nephew's daughter (she is three) had a birthday party for Jesus before she opened her gifts. What a wonderful concept for a three year old to come up with, without any prompting. I think she already knows the true meaning of Christmas at her tender age!
